SERVICES:

Interpreter, Living in America Guide:
I am available to accompany students and clients to meetings, stores, their childrens’ schools, their doctor’s & dentist’s offices, the DMV, etc. to assist and to interpret.
I can show families newly come to America how to find/use various necessities such as food, clothing & drugstore shopping, medical and dental care and insurance.
American customs and holidays explained.
I can also provide over-the-phone interpretation and make phone calls on client’s behalf.

Translator/Assistant:
I provide translation and assistance with email messages, USPS mail (bills, notices, etc), business documents, forms of all kinds, automotive issues (getting PennDOT drivers’ licenses, auto maintenance/repair/registration, visas, passports, doctor/dental forms, papers sent home from childrens’ schools and the scheduling of appointments.

Teacher:
I teach English for Japanese-speakers and Japanese for English-speakers.
Along with covering colloquialisms, grammar, punctuation, key phrases, letter-writing, emailing, conversation practice and pronunciation, we can also cover American holidays, customs and traditions and any other topics the student might wish. My goal is for the client to be able to speak “real-world” English/Japanese. If the client can communicate clearly, they will be happier and more productive. We will often take field trips to put what we have learned into practical application.

Contact Me:
I can be reached 24-7 by telephone in case someone has additional questions
or an emergency arises.

Lessons in the student’s own home or at a company’s offices provides the ultimate in convenience.
It allows mothers to be home with their young children and eliminates travel time for all
business clients. Classes can also be held via telephone or the internet.

BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS:

Better Business:
Instead of paying for both a translator and English/Japanese teacher, I can be both. With my help, students will eventually become independent of any translator.
Business will flow more smoothly (with less miscommunication and stress) for the employee as they become increasingly comfortable with communicating in both languages.
Their families will omit also gain increased independence and confidence in their day-to-day lives. If the employee and their family are not happy at home, they cannot be as productive at work.

BiLingual Instructor:
By learning English conversation with a bilingual teacher, students become more comfortable speaking English and are able to easily ask questions (of which there are always many!) in Japanese. We do, however, speak in English as much as possible. Immersion is the best method for learning a language.
